Job DescriptionENSCO is seeking an innovative, creative, and highly motivated individual to support the U.S. Space Force, Space Systems Command's MILSATCOM Program through the MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (MSEIT) contract. This position, located in Colorado Springs, CO, will support a diverse set of strategic MILSATCOM systems and infrastructure in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment.Duties include:--- Act as the High-altitude Electromagnetic Pulse (HEMP) & Hardness Maintenance/Hardness Surveillance (HMHS) Systems Engineer, supporting the Nuclear Command, Control & Communications (NC3) mission within the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, NC3 Sustainment Division (AFWNC/NCL)--- Assist AFNWC/NCL in identifying system deficiencies and developing executable sustainment solutions that can be effectively implemented in the field--- Implements HEMP/HMHS compliance against a portfolio of strategic military satellite communication (MILSATCOM) systems in accordance with applicable DoD, CJCSI and USAF/USSF standards and instructions while reporting protected shelters or other protected volume system test results to USSTRATCOM/NEC to maintain mission-essential certifications--- Ensures hardened critical components are at peak performance for their respective missions--- Lead technical discussions with senior government leadership, guiding integration of new hardware/software with both external and internal government agencies--- Perform analysis of proposed system modifications and other system technical assessments as neededQualifications Required (Skills)--- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or equivalent technical disciplines from an accredited university--- 2+ years of experience with MILSATCOM systems in the RF spectrum--- 2+ years of experience working with military or DoD civilian clients and managing professional relationships--- 2+ years working HEMP/HMHS engineering activities in support of legacy and transitioning MILSATCOM systems--- 3-5 years of engineering experience across multiple projects within a diverse portfolio--- Knowledge of MILSATCOM and DoD mission system sustainment--- Knowledge of HEMP/HMHS standards and instructions such as MIL-STD-188-125-1, 1A & 2, MIL-HDBK-423, MIL-STD-188-124, MIL-STD-419 & MIL-STD-461--- Hands-on experience performing multiple HEMP/HMHS testing events including Shield Effectiveness, Pulse Current Injection, Continuous Wave Immersion, INSPECTRAR, and Threat Lever Illumination (TLI)--- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, line drawings and schematics--- Demonstrated ability to produce technical Statement of Works (SOW), Bill of Materials, test plans and procedures--- Excels in establishing/maintaining positive customer relationships--- Excellent oral and written communication skills--- Proficiency with MS Office 365 products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Teams)--- An active SECRET security clearance is required for the position for which, you must be a U.S. citizen.Qualifications Desired--- Experience working in a multi-contractor environment--- Familiarity with cost estimating/projection and developing contract documents in support of HEMP/HMHS programmatics--- International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) certificationBenefit Highlights--- Annual education tuition reimbursement --- 401(k) Plan with up to 6% dollar-for-dollar company match --- Medical, dental and vision insurance --- Spending Accounts - FSA, Dependent Care FSA, and HSA --- Leave available for holidays, bereavement, jury duty, military service, family medical leave, and as required by State law --- Paid Time Off --- 100% Company paid Employee Assistance Program and life, disability, accidental death and dismemberment, business travel accident, and professional liability insurance (employee only) --- Other voluntary programs, including supplemental life, auto and home insurance, and legal program --- Computer purchase discount --- Recognition and reward programs --- Patent awards --- Technical paper awards for presentations and publications --- Recruitment awards --- Length of service awards --- Community service recognitionDivision DescriptionFor more than 50 years, ENSCO has been providing leading-edge engineering, science and advanced technology solutions to governments and private industries worldwide.ENSCO prides itself in creating and applying advanced technologies for mission success.
