Job Description:
A company is looking for a 1940 Act Attorney.
Key Responsibilities
Provide legal counsel on matters related to SEC-registered
investment advisers and investment companies
Draft and review registration statements, annual updates, and other
required documentation for clients
Negotiate contracts and prepare relevant filings for new services
and documentation
Required Qualifications
Minimum four years' experience as a 1940 Act attorney
J.D. and membership (or anticipated membership) in the bar of at
least one state
Experience at a major U.S. law firm or in an in-house legal
department
Knowledge of the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Investment
Advisers Act of 1940
Experience with ISDAs, ACAs, and 1933 Act Funds is a plus
