Job Description:
A company is looking for a Senior Manager, Software Engineering
to lead the design and development of complex data systems and
mentor engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the architectural design and implementation of scalable,
reliable, and secure data platform solutions
Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and
coaching, while establishing best practices in data engineering
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data engineering
efforts with business objectives
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data
Engineering, or a related field
8+ years of professional experience in data engineering, including
3+ years in a management or lead role
Expertise in building large-scale data solutions in modern cloud
platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and one
or more of Java, Scala, or Go
Strong experience with data lakes, data warehouses, and streaming
frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Kafka, Flink)
