Overview

The Solutions Architect designs high-level architecture and detailed IT system plans to meet CardAtOnce business requirements. Works closely with business stakeholders and IT leadership to understand their needs and translate them into clear technical requirements. Ensures seamless systems and applications integration, considering current needs and future scalability to maintain robust and adaptable solutions. Provides technical guidance and leadership to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices, technical standards, and PCI compliance. Oversees the implementation phase, ensuring alignment with design specifications and business requirements. Manages the project timeline, budget, scope, with rigorous quality assurance. Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Create, communicate and evangelize technology strategies for supported business
  • Develop and execute short and long-term strategic goals for design and road-map of systems, architecture and software to support business goals
  • Evaluate the cost and return on investment of various architecture alternatives
  • Provide expertise and architectural assistance to other IT personnel including software teams, System Analysts and Engineers
  • Conduct research on new technologies to understand how the business can take advantage of those technologies. Create plans for investing in new technology that will increase cost effectiveness and flexibility.
  • Architect solutions for key business initiatives ensuring alignment with future state architecture vision
  • Produce architecture artifacts, deliverables, organize and catalog to help maintain architecture repositories
  • Work closely with the project teams to enable success via application of sound architectural principles and providing guidance in implementing solutions at various stages of projects
  • Review and validate that architecture solutions proposed by other IT teams support stated & implied business requirements
  • Review technical team deliverables for compliance with architecture and PCI standards and guidelines

    Qualifications

    Requirements:
    • B.S. or MS Degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience
    • At least 10 years of related IT experience such as development, systems engineering, etc.
    • Experience creating and delivering against long-term, strategic technology road-maps
    • Experience managing large/complex projects utilizing Agile methodology
    • Experience with Payment Card Industry, (PCI), compliance regulations
    • Knowledge of user authentication and authorization flows between multiple systems, servers and environments
    • Experience leveraging cryptography key management schemes such as DUKPT,
    • Experience implementing containerization Kubernetes and/or Docker for .NET based applications
    • Experience with Micro services-based Architecture, API management, Session /Token management with an API Gateway
    • Experience with event streaming and web service protocols like SOAP, REST, JSON, RabbitMQ or Kafka
    • Experience using in-memory data grids, such as ScaleOut StateServer
    • Experience with data development including database design, modeling, ETL and scheduling
    • Experience leveraging Design Patterns
    • Experience with Cloud Application design, development and deployment including large scale upgrade and migration of application(s) to AWS
    • Experience with designing and delivering products leveraging IoT architecture
    • Experience with automated, remote provisioning of IoT devices
      Qualifications:
      • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely (both verbally and in writing) to executives and technologists
      • Strong leadership and collaboration capabilities
      • Ability to manage relationships with internal and external executives
      • Expert-level knowledge of IT disciplines, including software development, data management, enterprise architecture, cloud applications and analytics
      • Skilled leading and/or participating in system design and architectural activities including technical requirement writing experience and ability to lead collaboration sessions for important design reviews and decisions
      • Strong Collaborations skills with the ability to work remote in a team-based environment
      • Ability to help and drive root cause and resolution of major incidents causing production stability issues, including active participation in cross discipline incident resolutions process
      • Capable of designing and implementing complex solutions with technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, .NET, APIs, RabbitMQ, ScaleOut StateServer, as well as Cloud Native Services for Storage, Databases,
      • Messaging/Queuing/Events, Auto-scaling, Key Management Services, Caching and Monitoring, including IoT device provisioning and monitoring at client sites around the wor
      • Elementary English proficiency communication skills necessary.
        Physical Demands:
        • Working remote, frequently communicates with co-workers collaboratively, must be able to exchange accurate written or verbal communications in a timely manner.
        • Must be able to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) a majority of the time.
        • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
