  • Job Details
  • Provide quality patient care to all patients within the medical imaging department.
  • Perform high quality images and exams on patients while maintaining sensitivity to patient needs.
  • Follow standards of safe radiation practice.
  • Demonstrate leadership abilities and act as a clinical resource to students and staff technologists.
  • Assure current standards of practice for the unit.
  • Perform diagnostic radiology procedures, ensuring safety for self and patients.
  • Produce quality images in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
  • Prepare patients for exams and provide information regarding procedures.
  • Assist patients during exams and position them appropriately.
  • Observe patients and equipment during procedures and document unusual occurrences.
  • Facilitate smooth patient flow and optimal use of equipment/resources.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, imaging personnel, and hospital staff.
  • Assist with patient transport as needed.
  • Perform IV starts and contrast administration as required.
  • Maintain technical operation of equipment and notify service when necessary.
  • Maintain clean work area and quality checks for equipment.
    • Job Requirements
    • Knowledgeable in all aspects of Diagnostic Imaging including Surgery and Trauma.
    • Previous Radiologic Technologist experience preferred.
    • One year post certification experience required to evaluate and/or instruct student radiographers.
      • Schedule Information
      • Ability to provide on-call coverage outside of standard scheduled hours per department and/or facility policy.
        • Additional Details
        • Floating may be required to any Centura location within sixty (60) miles of the original assignment location or Centura-identified 'float zone'.
        • Float assignments may include duties outside of original assignment job requirements in accordance with Centura policy.
