    The role you'll contribute:



    Provide quality patient care to all patients within the medical imaging department. Perform high quality images and exams on patients while maintaining the sensitivity to patient needs. Demonstrates leadership abilities and is a role model for other associate technologists. Acts as a clinical resource to unit personnel and assures current standards of practice for the unit.



    The value you'll bring to the team:





    • Performs a variety of ultrasound procedures including, but not limited to, abdominal, pelvic, OB, head, extremity, retro peritoneal, small parts and vascular. May perform cardiac procedures as required by entity. Practices all rules and regulations pertaining to radiation safety, reducing personal and patient exposure to "as low as reasonably achievable" (ALARA).

    • Prepares patient for exam. Provides information and instruction to patient and/or family regarding the procedure and responds to their physical and emotional needs.

    • Observes patient and equipment during the procedure and reports / documents unusual occurrences and records patient's condition.

    • Correctly inputs charges and required data for procedures and for supplies utilized during the procedure/exam.

    • Demonstrates effective time management and is proactive in prioritizing workload and meeting productivity requirements.

    • As assigned by management, performs technologist duties of other registered modality, performs IV starts and contrast administration as required. Produces quality images in a complete, accurate and timely manner.





      Qualifications

      The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed :



      Required:





      • High School Diploma OR GED.

      • Licensure, Certification, Registration: ARDMS, RDMS (OBGYN) OR (AB) OR (BR) OR ARRT, R.T. (S)(ARRT) OR R.T.(S)(BS)(ARRT) OR ARDMS, RVT(VT) with OB, or ABD required within 1 year of hire.

      • ARDMS registered RDCS(AE) OR (PE) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCS).

      • Current Basic Life Support from American Heart Association
