The Director of Nursing (DON)is responsible to ensure efficient and effective delivery of clinical and paraprofessional services in accordance with Interim HealthCares core values and applicable laws and regulations.   • Provide leadership to the staff for care of the patient and family unit.
  • Develop and motivate the clinical and paraprofessional teams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the quality of patient care or client services, formulate and implement an action plan and evaluate results.
  • Participate in Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
  • Understand current trends and advancements in the delivery of care in the home.
  • Work with the Administrator to develop processes and execute training to successfully implement changes in patient care or client service practices.A few must-haves for a Director of Nursing (DON) - Registered Nurse (RN):
    • Must hold a current Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license credential.
    • BSN preferred.
    • Minimum of five (5) years medical management/supervisory experience preferred.
    • Five (5) years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) within the last seven (7) years, required.
    • Current Home Health Care experience required.
    • Current Health Care CPR certification.
    • Working knowledge and experience of: PDGM, Medicare, Medicaid etc.
    • Working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid home care rules and regulations.
